Growth

In November 2007, as part of Just Search’s continued expansion, we were delighted to announce the merger between Just Search and Getupdated. This merger meant we could offer a truly global online marketing strategy operating from offices in the UK, Sweden and France.

In Sweden our office is called Getupdated and is a “one-stop-shop” for Internet marketing, online communication and business development. They offers revenue boosting solutions in the areas of Internet strategies, communication, concept development, web site & portal development, web design, e-commerce, communities, content management systems, Internet advertising, search engine optimization (in Swedish sökmotoroptimering), paid search (sökordsannonsering), affiliate and web hosting.

Continuing in 2010 to focus on the pan-European presence,  Just Search Ireland and Just Search Italy were formed. The Dublin office was opened in March 2010 complete with a localised service offering and an Irish marketing web site.

The launch of Just Search Italy in September 2010 represented the next step of the Group’s European growth strategy, which the Group Chief Executive plans to continue throughout 2011.

Meet the board

Paul Cheetham, Chief Financial Officer

Paul Cheetham has been involved with Just Search for many years. From providing accountancy and financial consultancy through his own company, Sedulo, Paul gradually became more involved in the day-to-day management of Just Search and was eventually appointed as Just Search’s Financial Director in August 2007.

Paul is now the CFO and plays a key role not only on the board of the Group, but as part of the management team for Just Search. Paul brings a wealth of multi-sector business consultancy experience to the team, as well as a drive and determination for Just Search to continue to deliver the very best services the industry can offer.

Neil Walker, Chief Technical Officer

Neil Walker became part of Just Search when it was founded by Paul Yates in 2004 and has since seen the business grow from a company of only five people to its current size of 62. He began his career as an SEO manager where he was responsible for positioning Just Search as a leader in search engine optimisation (SEO). In 2006 Neil was promoted to head up the SEO department and took on the challenge of helping Just Search’s clients achieve top search engine results within their industry too.

After just one year and great success in the role, Neil was promoted to Chief Technical Officer (CTO) for the UK. As a specialist in online marketing strategies, including SEO, pay per click (PPC) and research and development, Neil became responsible for his team of 26 technicians, content editors and link builders, and developed technologies and the delivery of the company’s products.

In June 2010 Neil took a break from the company to become more involved in speaking engagements and to gain further insight into the online marketing world. He has since returned to Getupdated/Just Search in the capacity of Group CTO where he will continue to share his wealth of experience but will also inject his newfound knowledge across the group, which now includes UK, Ireland, France, Italy and Sweden.
